Baptism: Baptism serves as the first sacrament one receives when entering the Catholic Faith. It is a sacrament of initiation (which you can only receive one time), meaning once you receive it, you officially enter into the body of Christ, the Catholic Church. Contact our parish office: (208) 448-2127
First Holy Communion: First Holy Communion is a religious ceremony performed in church by Catholics when a child reaches the age of around 7-8+ years and celebrates the first time that they accept the bread and wine (also known as the Eucharist).
Confirmation: Confirmation is the sacrament by which Catholics receive a special outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Through Confirmation, the Holy Spirit gives them the increased ability to practice their Catholic faith in every aspect of their lives and to witness Christ in every situatio
Confessions/Reconciliation: The Sacrament of Reconciliation is one of the most unique and beautiful aspects of Catholicism. Jesus Christ, in His abundant love and mercy, established the Sacrament of Confession, so that we as sinners can obtain forgiveness for our sins and reconcile with God and the Church. The sacrament “washes us clean,” and renews us in Christ.
Confession times at St. Catherine's: Sunday 1/2 hour before Mass or by appointment.
Matrimony: The Sacrament of Marriage is a lasting commitment of a man and a woman to a lifelong partnership, established for the good of each other and the procreation of children.
Couples interested in preparing for the sacrament of marriage call the parish office. At least four months notification is required due to time for marriage preparation classes and paperwork.
Holy Orders. The Sacrament of Holy Orders is the sacrament through which the mission entrusted by Christ to his apostles continues to be exercised in the Church until the end of time.
If you have an interest in becoming a priest, schedule an appointment with Father Nwauzor.
Anointing of the Sick: Please contact our parish office and notify the priest of the need so a visit can be arranged: (208) 448-2127
Funerals: The Church gathers with the family and friends of the deceased to give praise and thanks to God for Christ's victory over sin and death, to commend the deceased to God's tender mercy and compassion, and to seek strength in the proclamation of the Paschal Mystery.
Notice should be made to the Parish Priest before arrangement are made with the Funeral Director.
